Playing Chess is an another opportunity that is presented to the pupils of the school. From 3rd class and up children learn the rules of chess and pupils get the chance to represent Scoil Bhríde in local Chess Tournaments that are run locally around the county. It is a major interest for both boys and girls and helps develop logic, strategic planning and lateral thinking. This year our pupils played in the ficheall.ie tournament run in Tuam.
