Grandparents Day is a very special occasion here in our school, where students celebrate and appreciate the love, wisdom, and guidance that grandparents bring to our lives. The children invite their grandparents to visit our school and classrooms. It is a great opportunity for learning, as it helps children understand the importance of family, history, and kindness while building stronger connections between generations. 

This year we decorated our noticeboards with decorative art work and creative writing pieces to show our appreciation and love for our grandparents. Each class performed an array of both English and Irish songs for all of the grandparents. Finally, all of the grandparents got to mingle and chat over a cup of tea and some treats. It is always a most enjoyable day for all involved!
